PUBLIC NOTICE, PROPOSED RESOLUTION RE: DISPOSITION OF LAND
Notice is hereby given as per Sections 70 & 606 of the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, c-M236 that the Council of the Town of Trochu intends to consider the disposition of the following municipally owned lands for an amount that may be deemed to be less than market value:

Council will consider this matter at the Regular Council Meeting schedule to begin at 6pm on February 10th, 2025 at Trochu Town Office, 222 Northfield Road, Trochu, AB. The proposed resolution may be viewed at Town Office between the hours of 8am – 12pm and 1pm – 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Any petitions against this proposal must be filed within 60 days of the last date of advertising (March 31st, 2025 in this case) and must be filed with Carl Peterson, CAO, Town of Trochu, Box 340, Trochu, AB, T0M 2C0. If a sufficient petition is not filed within the time limit, the Town can proceed with the proposed resolution. Petitions must comply with the requirements of Part 7 of the Municipal Government Act which in part requires:
- Signatures by electors equal to at least 10% of the Town population
- A dated and witnessed signature, printed name, street or legal address, and telephone number or e-mail address for each petitioner
- A signed statement of a representative of the petitioners

Any individual may appeal the Municipal Planning Commission’s decision on a development permit application. This appeal, accompanied by the requisite fee ($500), must be in the form of a notice and must be directed to:
