Utility Bills

The Town of Trochu is responsible for billing of Water and Sewer Usage, Garbage Collection, and Recycling for all Trochu Residents.

Billing periods are once every two months with the bills being mailed out at the end of the period:

  • January/February
  • March/April
  • May/June
  • July/August
  • September/October
  • November/December.

Please note that the water meters are not read in December due to Holidays.  The November/December bills are based on an estimated usage for each individual property.  The water meters will be read again at the end of February and this will correct any discrepancies that may have occurred during the November/December billing period.

Payments

The Town of Trochu accepts cash, cheque, or debit payments at the office (222 Northfield Road) or online payments through your banking site or PaySimply.ca (see below). For online bank payments, you will find us listed as a payee under “Town of Trochu (Utilities)” or “Trochu, Town of (Utilities)”.

PLEASE NOTE: Utility account numbers are based on civic addresses and will change if you move. To ensure that your payment is applied to the right account, please make sure that the account number you use when making online payments matches the account number on your current bill.

 

 Online Credit Card Payments

We are now accepting tax and utility payments through PaySimply, an online service offered in partnership with ATB. PaySimply accepts many payment forms, including major credit cards, PayPal, Interac, and more.  Convenience fees are charged and payment processing takes up to 3 business days.

*These payments must be made online, we CANNOT accept credit card payments at the office.*

 

To make a utility payment:

  • Click here to go to our utility page at PaySimply.ca
  • Enter your account information, including your full account number (you can find this on the top left corner of your bill, to the right of ‘Name’)
  • Choose your payment type
  • Review your information and enter your Postal Code
  • Enter your payment details and click Process to make your payment
