There are several options when making a payment to the Town of Trochu.
*If you have any questions, please call Town Office or email utilities@townoftrochu.ca*
In Person Payments:
- At the Office, we accept cash, cheque, and debit payments (we do not accept in-person credit card payments at this time)
- After hours, you can drop off your cheque payment through our mail slot to the right of the front entrance. Please use an envelope and include your bill, invoice, or a note describing what the payment is for.
Payments by Mail:
- We accept cheque payments by mail to the address “Town of Trochu, PO Box 340, Trochu, AB, T0M 2C0”. Please include your bill, invoice, or a note describing what the payment is for.

-
- Set up a new payee by searching “Town of Trochu” or “Trochu, Town of”

- For Tax payments, select the payee with “(Taxes)” at the end
- For any other payments (development permits, invoices, pet licences, etc.), select the Taxes payee and follow the instructions below regarding account numbers
- Set up a new payee by searching “Town of Trochu” or “Trochu, Town of”
-
- Enter your Account Number
- For Utility payments, this number is found on the top left and bottom centre of your utility bill
- For Tax payments, this is called your Roll Number and is found on the top left and bottom centre of your tax notice
- For Invoice payments please use your customer Account Number, found on the top right of your invoice
- For Development Permit fee payments please use your Permit Number, found on the top right of your application
- For other types of payments (Pet licenses, office services, etc.) please contact us before paying online. We will provide you with an account number to use and let our staff know to expect your payment.
- If your account number is too long, remove any middle zeros until it is the right length (For example, if your utility account number is 12300012 and you can only use 6 digits, you would use 123012)
- Enter your Account Number
- Complete your online payment and it will be deposited directly into the Town of Trochu’s account
- Please allow 2-3 business days for the money to be deposited and keep in mind that penalties are applied based on the day we receive the payment, not the day you pay it
- If you’re on the Tax Payment Installment Program (TIPPs) you can use the above method to set up your payments, just make it a monthly ongoing payment instead of a one-time payment
