See the Arboretum in a new light…Christmas light that is!
Join us for twinkling light displays, apple cider, hot chocolate and crackling fires. Running from December 13th to January 1st, the Arboretum takes on a whole new personality as the trees and grounds are transformed from their elegant green summer finery to a seasonal burst of twinkling color and frosty overcoats. Breathe in the chilled night air as you wander the pathways sparkling with newly fallen snow and frosty glints. See the diamond chips of stars look down at you from above and enjoy the peace and solitude that can only be experienced during this very special time of year.
Each evening is hosted by volunteers who keep the fire going and the chocolate hot and on special evenings, local service groups provide hot dogs.
Grounds are open from 5:30 pm – 9 pm nightly, entrance fee is by donation.
2019 Hot Dog Nights:
- December 14th, hosted by the BPOE Elks
- December 18th, hosted by the Trochu Fire Department
- December 21st, hosted by the Lions Club
- December 28th, hosted by the Town of Trochu
