You are welcome to participate in a Town Wide Garage Sale day!
Historically we have always suggested that if you would like to have a spring garage sale this would be a good weekend to have it, as “Kick It to the Curb” will be held the following weekend and the furniture bins will be here until June 2 to ensure disposal of furniture items that were not sold in a garage sale or picked from the curb.
Help reduce toxic waste in your homes and in our community landfill. The Toxic Waste Round Up includes household chemicals, old paint, solvents, old fire extinguishers & detectors, and lawn & garden chemicals. So take a few minutes and clean up those basement shelves, garages, and garden sheds for a cleaner environment for our community.
Donations welcome! Please wait to donate plants until after the May 21st long weekend.
It’s KICK IT TO THE CURB time again!
Don’t put your useful but unwanted items in the garbage. Give them away during Kick it to the Curb. The idea of the weekend, which starts at sunrise on Thursday May 31st is to simply pace any of your unwanted household items at the curb on your front street marked with FREE signs and stickers, and people can just come and pick up items that households no longer want. Items must be removed from the curb by 1:00pm on Saturday June 2nd.
NOTE: Furniture bins will be available at the Transfer Site until June 2 this year
Giveaway Etiquette: Please only take items at the curb marked FREE, respect other people’s property by not walking through lawns and gardens, and consider safety when deciding which items to give away.
As part of Seniors Week 2018, Seniors Outreach invites everyone to the Trochu & District Museum for coffee, ice cream, and a look around Trochu’s history!

Steak or Lobster dinner is $50, Steak & Lobster dinner is $60, tickets available until June 3rd at Delburne, Balkwill’s Pharmacy, and Three Hills RCMP Station.
Come to the Trochu Museum to see a new travelling exhibit!
From Vimy to Juno features stories and photos focused on Canada’s role in WWI and WWII, with content added from the Trochu & District Museum archives to connect these stories to our local veterans and their families.
It will be viewable at the Museum from June 15th to July 6th.
