Assistance with short term emergency shelter, food, and clothing for people affected by disaster.  Tracing of immediate family members separated due to disaster/armed conflict.  Training in disaster preparedness and response.  Medical equipment loan for people recovering from injury or illness.  Child abuse, relationship violence and bullying and harassment prevention, education for children, youth and adults.  First aid, injury prevention and water safety training.

Children’s Rehabilitation Services

Children’s Rehabilitation Services is a program within Alberta Health Services Central Zone. Children’s Rehabilitation Services provides evaluation of and strategies for questions or concerns you might have regarding your child’s development. These concerns could include how your child speaks, hears, moves, their abilities with cutting, colouring or learning to print. Other areas could include feeding, picky eating, sensitivity to noises, clothing or how things feel, or development of toleting and dressoing skills. The team consists of an Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologists, a Physical Therapists, Therapist Assistants, and a Social Worker

Early child development programs for parents and caregivers with children ages 0-6 usually for 6 weeks at a time with two week break in Trochu Playschool space above arena phone 403-443-3253 for more info.

Families can also take part in parent/caregiver sessions as well as borrow book and video resources through the Three Hills Library and their local coordinator.  Developmental Screening is available to give a snapshot of how their child is doing and parents and caregivers can receive advice and referrals to appropriate services.  Come meet and learn with other families.  Our job is to help parents and caregivers be the best they can be.
